Ranbir designed and delivered an original purchase plan for the development of a fully equipped mobile kitchen intervention, replete with utensils, cooking equipment, non-perishable foodstuffs and fuel. This would function as a low-cost, high-impact portable community kitchen which can be easily replicated to maximize reach.
The founder established the Mobile Kitchen fundraiser on the Milaap online platform to raise funds to donate basic foodstuffs and provisions to meet daily nutritional needs of the children at the Sukhad NGO. Ranbir raised INR 5o,000/$ 595 that were transferred to Sukhad directly to buy rations in the form of grains, pulses and rice for the community.
The founder created an original survey to gain insight into nutritional requirements for children through a straightfoward and easy to answer questionnaire. The questions pertained to the daily activity levels of the children at the Sukhad NGO, and through their responses, the founder calculated the childrens' Total Daily Energy Expenditure and macronutrient requirements.
Using the obtained data, Ranbir put together meal plans that covered the required amounts of protein, carbohydrates and fats for the children at the NGO.
